Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith
Our statement of faith is the Baptist Faith & Message of 2000. We also hold to a short list of independent belief statements linked below.
What is taught from the pulpit, in Sunday School, in our midweek bible studies, or in any other direct ministry of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain will not contradict the following statements:
Outside Partnerships
Recognizing where there is space for theological diversity, we have ministry partners which do not necessarily hold to all of our beliefs on secondary issues. However we have enough in common with each of our partners that we can confidently work together on the task at hand. The work that we do with other churches and organizations is limited to what is appropriate to our commonly held beliefs—with some groups we agree on enough to pray and feed the hungry together and with some groups we agree on enough to send missionaries and plant churches together.
